Dr. Amy Betka
Amy grew up in a small farming community near the Outer Banks. After graduating high school she went to NC State University where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science in 1998. She went on to Vet School at NC State where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
After graduation she and her family moved to Virginia where she worked as an associate in a ruminant practice for 4 months. Returning to North Carolina she worked as an associate in a large animal practice for nearly four years. Then in April of 2006 she decided the time was right to start her own practice.
She is married (Robert) with a son (Joshua) and has a farm of her own which includes multiple horses, goats, alpacas, chickens, dogs and a cat. She is involved in her community and her church.

Robert is originally from Colorado. He moved to North Carolina with his family in 1986. Robert attended college at NC State graduating with a bachelor of science in Animal Science with a minor in Agriculture Business Management in 1998.
After graduation Robert has worked in several aspects of animal agriculture. He managed a 500 head cattle operation in eastern NC. He has worked as a Livestock Extension Agent and at NC Department of Agriculture as a Livestock Marketing Specialist. Before coming to work with BCMVS he worked as an assistant manager at a farm and garden store selling farm supplies and feed.
Robert wears several hats with BCMVS. His duties include practice and office management, field technician and vet assistant. He can help with cattle production questions, working cattle, and A.I of cattle.
Caroline Gray
Caroline Gray is a Vet Assistant with Bear Creek Mobile Veterinary Services. Caroline is a native of Mt. Pleasant where she continues to reside. Caroline graduated in 1995 with BS in Animal Science from NC State University. For the past 15 years she has been competing in 3-Day eventing and in her spare time she trains young horses. It has always been a passion of hers to work with large animals and as a veterinary assistant she is able to be hands on with the care of our patients. Her latest endeavor is breeding and raising quality Welsh pony crosses for competition. It is important to her to provide the best care possible for her own animals as well as those of our clients.
